Overall, Brazil was dominant in the production of eletricity from renewable sources. Followed by Germany which was the second largest electricity produced country. China was the lowest figure in the start of the period however, it experienced a significant growth and surpass The United States of America.
In 2000, the electricity generated from renewable sources in Brazil was 20% which was the highest proportion of electricity being generated by renewable sources. It increased dramatically and reached 30% in 2005 and 40% in 2010. It was approximately 65% in 2020 at the end of the period. While Germany generated 10% of electricity in 2000 which also rise sharply and reached 30% in 2010 and 60% in 2020. The proportion of the production of electricity in Germany was less than that of Brazil overall.
The United States of America on the other hand, was produced 5% of electricity in 2000 which was higher than the proportion of India in 2002. The figure for The United States of America was increased constantly and reached 10% in 2010. It was further rised to 20% in 2020. Additionally, China was the country which was the lowest electricity production proportion of approximately 5% in 2000 which was then increased to less than 14% in 2010 after surpassing The United States of America in 2007.5.
