The line graph depicts the trends in fast food consumption in the UK from 1970 to 1990 with a 5-year time period.
The graph shows a rapid upward trend in Fish&Chips consumption and also a slight increase in hamburger consumption. However, Pizza became less popular throughout the years.
In the start of 70s hamburger was least favourite kind of junkfood among UK people with a number of about 10 portions bought per day. From 1970 to 1985 it started to slowly gain popularity, suddenly reaching a point of 300 portions in the end of the period.
The same trend can be noticed in Fish&Chips consumption graph, which was folooeing the Hamburger graph for 10 years from the start of the period. This fast food intake more than trippled in the 1980-1990 time period and hit a high of 500 daily bought portions.
The only food type that experienced a decrease happened to be pizza. Even though at the start of the period it three times as popular as two others, it went down from 300 to 200 portions and reamined unchanged until the end of the period taking the lowest spot among two others.
