Overall, cinema attendance rose over the period for all different age categories. people aged 15-24 consistently recorded the highest propotion of cinema-goers. while those who are aged 35 and over had the lowest precentage all over the period. Despite the fluctuations, the cinema attendance experienced an upward trend.
In 2000, the total propotion of people aged between 15 and 24 was 18% approximately, it rose steadly to just over 30% in 2004. it plateaued at this level before experiencing a dramatic increase between 2005 and 2007 reaching 50%. it declined in 2008 down to around 37%, then plateaued before soaring dramaticaly to its peak of over 50%.
For the ones aged 7-14 starting from 10% and others between 25-35 recording just around 5% in 2000, both of the categories followed an upward trend during the given period before soaring dramaticaly to their peak in 2009 for around 30% for the 25-35 categorie and just under 40% for the 7-14%. Meanwhile,the attenance of people who are aged 35 and over was the least one starting from around 2% in 2000 and leveled out until 2009 where it had slight increase reaching just over 10% in 2011, respectively.
