The graph illustrates information about how prices of four types of bread changed in one European country, over the period between 2001 and 2007.
Overall, the cost of most bread types increased,with the exception of wholemeal bread, which witnessed a fall. Notably, the price of black bread remained the most expensive in comparison with other types.
On the whole, the price of wholemeal bread was only one which experienced a decline.Having stood at 1.9 euros, the figure decreased sharply to approximately 0.6 cents in 2002.Subsequently, despite increasing slightly to 1 euros, an expense remained stable until 2004. In addition to this, there was a marginal rise in the cost to nearly 1,4 euros, while this was followed by a considerable drop to 0,8 cents.
Regarding other types of bread, they were forecast to had an upward trend from 2001 to 2007.The black bread saw a negligible decline to 1,6 euros in the beginning, but this was followed by a slight growth to 1,8 euros. At this point, there was a marginal decrease to 1,7 euros by 2005.Subsequently, the figure rose significantly in 2007 , reaching 2 euros, which meant that it had the highest cost of four types in that year. Next, having stood at 0,8 cents in the cost of white bread, the price increased marginally to 1 euro, after that it decreased gradually to 0,7 cents. Despite decreasing to 0,7 cents, the price levelled off at 1,4 euros until 2007. Having stood at 0,4 cents, the rye bread witnessed a slight rise, reaching roughly 0,6 cents.However, the figure remained stable over the period between 2003 and 2004. In addition, there were wild fluctuations in the figure on the whole period.
