Overall, there was a significant increas of the number of travellers over the period. South Korea and Japan owned the higher positions from the begining and stayed the leaders. While China and USA contributed the lowest number in both years.
In 1975 the total number of visitors to Australia was 8.8 millions. Then it gradually improved to 24 million by the end of a three-decade period. The biggest contribution was from Japan, the number grew from 3.2 to 2 million. Similar situation was with people from South Korea – 9.1 million in 2005, while 2.9 was the start point.
Indicators for Europe and Britain were lower, but also demonstrated a significant growth. Meanwhile, USA and Chine, which began with humble numbers, continued being countries with the minitory of tourists in 2005.
