In 1990, France welcomed with nearly just below 50 million tourists, Spain exactly 30 million, and Japan precisely 40 million. Until the next decade, France’s numbers increased steadily, reaching nearly 55 million by 2 000. Spain also saw a significant increase to approximately 40 million visitors, while Japan’s numbers grew only slightly to around 42 million.
Between 2000 and 2010, France’s tourist arrivals increased slightly and remained above 70 million, whereas in Japan declined to nearly 38 million and Spain showed a continuous increase to 60 million.
During the 2010 and 2020, in Japan there was a persistent decline and in the number of tourists and finished with nearly 35 million people, and both France and Spain increased until the end and finished with nearly 80 million and 75 million respectively.
