The chart illustrates the proportion of single detached dwellings built in America by each region from 2006 to 2012. Overall, It is obvious that the trend of the line graphs seemed to be decline dramatically then increased, except for the statistic in the Northeast
As it can be seen that the most houses constructed in the south, which demonstrated that the number of houses constructed was highest, about 900,000 houses respectively. Then this figure decreased to 300,000 in 2010 and made a significant rise up in 2010 estimating around 350,000 houses approximately. In contrast, the proportion of the detached houses reached the lowest point, which was only a half of the highest point with a lower proportion of 200,000 houses. The same pattern can be seen with a lower number of 100,000 single detached houses in 2012.
Regarding the period of houses built in each region of the US, we can see that in 2006, most houses were constructed in all regions. This figure was likely to have a significant decline to the bottom. Then the proportion of houses built rose slightly, except for the house built in the Northeast, which continued to drop below 100,000 houses.
