Oil production and consumption
The line chart gives information about the amount of oil which produced and consumed in China over the period from 1982 to 2006
Overall the manufacture and expenditure of oil experienced an upward trend over the the given period. It is obvious that oil consumption witnessed was a lot higher than that of production.
At the beginning of the period, the output and usage of oil was nearly equal, stood at around 2 million barrels per day. Over the next 8 years in 1990, the quantity of oil produced rose significantly and stayed unchanged until 1994, stood at around 3 million barrels on a daily basis. Meanwhile, oil consumption experienced a period of stability in 1990, after which the consumption level of oil by the Chinese saw an enormous growth by approximately over 1 million barrels each day in 1904
In the second half of the period, oil production registered a minimal increase, stood at over 3 million barrels per day. During the same period, the figure for consumption experienced a sharp climb and peaked at around 6 million barrels each day
