The given line graph illustrates how many tourists visited 4 different attractive places in Brighton of England from 1980 to 2010.
Overall, there was an upward trend in tourists’ preference in festival and pier. Additionally, the pavilion was the most well-known choice for tourists in 2010, opposite to the art gallery which tourists’ priority declined during the period.
Starting at 10% in 1980, the number of tourists visiting the pier fluctuated for 20 years, after that, the fraction of journeyers increased remarkably to nearly 23%. Contrary to the fluctuation of the pier’s tourists , the proportion of travelers who went to the festival was more or less stable in 30 years, though there were some small shifts.
Meanwhile, a similar pattern can be witnessed in pavilion and art gallery’s percentage. From approximately 23% in 1980, the proportion of tourists who were attracted by art galleries rose to over 36% after 5 years. Although the art gallery initially saw a rise in visitors, it experienced a sharp decline after 1985. Besides, the percentage of pavilion’s tourists went up exponentially over the 15 years and reached at the highest point of 48% in 1995, to end up at 31% in the last year, ranked first in terms of the most popular place among visitors to England.
