The line graph illustrates the number of students from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia who kept educating abroad between 2002 and 2007.
Overall, the United States consistently had the highest number of students studying overseas, while the UK showed a steady decline. In contrast, the number of Australian students remained relatively stable throughout the period.
In 2002 approximately 50,000 American students studied abroad. This figure dipped slightly to about 46,000 in 2004 but gradually rose again, reaching 50,000 by 2007. By comparison, the UK started with around 30,000 students in 2002, but the number steadily decreased over the years, falling to just above 20,000 by 2007.
Meanwhile, Australia recorded the lowest figures, at just under 10,000 students across the whole period. Unlike the fluctuations seen in the US and the decline in the UK, the number of Australian students studying abroad showed almost no change, remaining stability from 2002 to 2007.
