By contrast,the US and Australia showed little variation over the 6-year period. The US began with 50,000 students in 2002. Meanwhile, Australia stood at 10,000 and recorded the lowest figure. The figure for the US fell from 50,000 to 48,000.On the other hand, Australia remained steady at 10,000.In 2004, the US saw little change from 48,000 to 47,000.Australia showed stability at 10,000 students.In 2005, the US rose slightly from 47,000 to 49,000 students. Australia remained at the same level at 10,000. Eventually, in 2007, the US rose from 49,000 to 50,000.Australia stayed constant at 10,000.
