The line chart shows the number of cinema attendances based on 4 aged goups in the UK in 20 years from 1990 to 2010. In general, elderly people at aged 44-45 were the highest audiences on cinema.
It can be seen that all aged groups experinced fluctuations, and overall trend was upward. UK citizens at aged 14-24 started with the lowest number around 15% in 1990, then increased marginally until 1995. The percentage of aged 14-24 group fell in 2000, then rose dramatically to exceed 20% in 2005. From 2005 onwards, it started to level off.
On the other hand, elderly people at aged 44-45 were the highest number as participants on cinema stood at 38% in 1990. After that, that group grew slightly to around 40%, but then declined again to 38%. In 2000, it began to recover, and hit a peak in 2005 around 48%. After that, the number still grew but slower than before, until reched the highest number at 51 % in the end of period.
