The graph shows the number in millions of USA residents moving to other parts of the world from 2015 to 2020. It records Asia, Australia, other continents and the total number of all regions.
Asia was the one continent that saw the biggest number in 2015, starting at 10 millions and steadily grew each year to reach around 28 millions in 2020. Another region that became ideal was Australia, though after a serge in 2016 at almost 10 millions, the number gradually fell and remained steady at below 5 millions in 2019 and 2020. The number of people who chose other parts of the globe reached 20 millions in 2015, the highest in record. However, it underwent fluctuation, and at last in 2020, was 8 millions short of the number of Asia.
Overall, a total of 32 millions USA citizens chose to live outside of the USA in 2015. The trend increased rapidly to reach almost 50 millions of people in just one year. After 2016, the number increased steadily year by year and reached around 52 millions in 2020.
