The line graph provides data on the quantity of parcels delivered by two major mail service companies, FedEx and TNT, between 1920 and 2000. Overall, by the end of the period in question, TNT had surpassed FedEx in the number of parcels delivered by a significant margin. However, for majority of the years FedEx was the dominant delivery service.
In 1920 FedEx was at 15000, for the first decade the amount of parcels delivered increased by a moderate amount. In the following 10 years the increase was steeper with FedEx reaching its peak in 1940 with just below 25000 parcels delivered. After that, FedEx had a downfall for 2 decades making the disparity between FedEx and TNT substantially smaller . Nevertheless, it steadily rose back and then stagnated reaching slightly over 17500 in the year 2000.
On the other hand, TNT was at a mere 5000 in 1920. For almost half a century TNT delivery rates steadily rose until facing a slight dip in 1960, In the next decade there was little to none progress but in the years after that TNT delivery rates surged and surpassed FedEx in 1990 reaching its highest point of almost 25000 by the end of the given timeframe.
