Overall, it is evident that the horror movie increased throughout the period, while sci-fi movie declined continuously. In addition, adventure movie grew slowly. In contrast, romance movies fluctuated and ended at a lower level than they began.
As is presented in the line chart, the figure for horror movies started at 100 million in 2005, it increased significantly and reached nearly 250 million in 2008. It then climbed and peaked at 400 million in 2012, before it was surpassed adventure movies between the period of 2010 and 2011. In contrast, sci-fi movies started with around 200 million in 2005, later; it decreased slightly and accounted for 150 million in 2010. At the end of the eight-years, it stood at approximately 100 million in 2012.
