The line graph gives information about the expenditure on from cinema tickets and DVDs sold sale in both USA and globally over the period of nine years. Overall, all categories witnessed an upward trend except for North America DVD sales. In addition, international cinema sales had the highest figure at the end of the period.
Looking first at North America DVD sales, they started/ began/ commenced with had the highest biggest amount of revenue of more than 20 million when started (remember, you always need to have the starting point) before decreasing slightly and decreased to approximately 18 billion (how can you know it is exactly 18 billion?) in 2010. Meanwhile, Iinternational cinema sales peaked at 28 billion in 2004 and reached the highest point of over 30 billion at the end. This dramatic growth in international cinema sales highlights the industry’s profitability over the years.
Turning to the remaining statistic, both worldwide DVD sales and North America cinema sales experienced an increasing trend. In 2001, global DVD sales reached 11 billion and saw a significant increase, becoming the second highest source of income with a total of 22 billion in 2010. In the beginning, North America cinema sales only 10 billion , which had the lowest income. A slight decrease was seen in amount of income in 2004 and stood at 11 billion in 2010.
