In 2010, a bunch of people spend 300 dollars in food, compared to 150 dollars in entertainment and 200 dollars for transportation cost. Over the next 2 years, the figure of average monthly expenditures rose considerably, reaching 320 dollars in food and 220 dollars in transportation, while entertainment saw a more modest increase to 200 dollars.
A more dramatic raise was observed by 2014, the amount of average monthly spending had climbed to 350 dollars in food and 240 dollars in transportation whereas expenses for entertainment reached at 250 dollars. The upward trend continued in the following years. By 2016, a group of citizen spent 370 dollars for food and 260 dollars for transportation associated with 300 dollars for entertainment. By 2018, the figures stood at 400 dollars, 350 dollars and 280 dollars respectively.
By the end of the period in 2020, the monthly expenditures peaked at 420 dollars for food followed by 380 dollars for entertainment and 300 dollars for transportation, narrowing the gap among the three categories.
