The diagram illustrates the number of participants in four aquatic activities from 2000 to 2020.
Overall, the number of surfing, jet skiing, and swimming players rose throughout the given period. On the contrary, snorkeling experienced a constant downward trend every year throughout the period.
The number of surfing increased constantly by 20 people each year from 2000 to 2015, and peaked at 220 participants in 2020 as the most popular water sport. A similar pattern can be observed for jet skiing which experienced an uplift by 20 participants each year between 2000 and 2010. It reached its highest number of players in 2020 which was 180 people. Furthermore, swimming participants rose from 100 in 2000 to 150 in 2020 by a margin of 50 people.
In contrast, the number of snorkeling players dropped dramatically from 140 in 2000 to 80 at the end of the period. This was almost half the initial number of participants, making it the least popular activity among all other aquatic sports.
