The line graph gives information about how industries such as agriculture, manyfacturing, mining, services and construction influenced on a Australia’s economy from 2005 to 2009. The pie chart illustrates the proportional breakdown of total employment rate by these sectors in 2009.
Overall, it is clear that industry of services made a biggest contribution to the economy all given years, while agriculture had a lowest impact. Total employment rate of services sector overtook four remaining industries.
Contribution of services sector significantly exceeded other industries all years. In the begining of the period this figure was approximately 45% and it continued to rise and by 2009 the contribution made up almost 50%. By contrast, manufacturing and agricultural industries’ investments steadily declined over the period and amounted to roughly 10% and 1% respectively. Meanwhile, construction and mining sectors remained unchanged with approximately both 10%.
The percentage of employees in services sector was the highest among other industries in 2009 and amounted to 57,5%. Then followed construction, manufacturing and mining industries with similar percentage of total employment which was 13,1%, 12,9% and 10,6% respectively. The industry with the lowest number of employees was agriculture with only 5,9%.
