By contrast, the value of cinema tickets was always more expensive than these two. The price of cinema tickets was 9 pounds in 2005, and this rose to 11 pounds in 2007. The value remained unchanged until 2009. Then, the price rose considerably to 14 pounds in 2011.
In 2005, the largest share belonged to renting a DVD with 64%. By contrast, watching online with legal download was a small minority of the total percentage – 6%. The portion of going to the cinema was 30%. In 2011, watching online experienced significant changes – it grew by 20%, while the other categories gradually decreased. The proportion of renting a DVD and going to cinema fell to 56% and 18%, respectively.
