With respect to holiday purpose, the volume of visitors going abroad for their vacation started from more than 6 millions, and then it reached its peak at 9 millions in 1994. After substantially falling for the next ten years, number of people coming to the UK for holiday saw a recovery to its peak .
Regarding the remaining two purposes, both of them experienced the same trend.
