Overall, the usage of the internet has gradually increased in all the continents over the period. While Europe had the highest usage percentage and Africa had the lowest percentage.
In 2000 around 40% population were using the Internet. The numbers rose steadily to above 80% by 2020. A similar upward trend was observed in the Asia, where Internet Usage increased from about 20% in 2000 to 80% in 2020.
