The line chart illustrates the various types of jam in the company’s unit sales between 2009 and 2014.
Overall, the majority of categories exhibited an upward trajectory, particularly in strawberry, which rose the most substantially. While the figure for strawberry remained the largest number of unit sales, that of plum experienced a significant drop and registered the smallest figure by the end of the period.
Regarding growth, strawberry jam accounted for the largest number of unit sales, at around 3.5 million in 2009, after which this figure slowly increased to roughly 4 million by 2010 and reached 6.5 million over 4 years. A significant rise was mirrored in both the figures for raspberry and grape. These two figures started at roughly 3 million and precisely 1 million, before surging to 5.2 and 4.4 million by 2014, respectively.
Turning to plum and cherry, the unit sales of plum stood at approximately 2.6 million in 2009, higher than that of cherry, which amounted to roughly 1.7 million. However, while the latter fluctuated in the subsequent years and stood at 2.5 million by 2014, the former showed a substantial decline and recorded a figure of nearly zero by the end of the period.
