The Little Chalfont Library illustrates the percentages of a pie chart about the age of library members, and a table about total loans by category in 2016. Besides, a bar chart of the total number of loans from 2007 to 2016.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the percentage of adults aged 18 to 64 accounts for the most in the pie chart, while adult fiction and children’s fiction were by far the most common. Additionally, the bar chart of the total number of loans witnessed upward trajectories over the period shown.
Regarding the library’s membership in 2016, the largest percentage of adults aged 18 to 64, accounting for 51% is more than half of all members, followed by children represented the second largest group, occupying 22% of the total membership. Furthermore, the young adults aged 13 to 17, and adults 65 and over, with 15% and 12% respectively, followed by the figures of children’s fiction and adult fiction, both of which account for an equal amount and are 38% of total loans.
Moreover, the data of adult non-fiction, children’s non-fiction, and young adults represented 13%, 6% and 2% respectively. However, the least common were children’s DVDs and adult audiobooks, which contributed only 1% and 2% of the total loans. Turning to the total of loans, in 2007, the number of loans began with approximately 15,000 and then significantly increased to around 22,000 in 2016.
