The pictures outline the current look of a certain village called “Ryemouth” and in the year 1995.
On the whole, it is evident that the place underwent significant changes in this period, with most of them relating to housing. Of particular note is that certain industries were not a subject for change.
To start with, in 1995, there was a fishing port in the south part of the village, which was located in the middle of a sea. To the west and east of the fishing port were a fishing market and a café, respectively. Also, there used to be a shop immediately facing the port. Furthermore, an ‘L-shaped” road was situated in the village, which featured many houses on the north. Finally, a forest park and a farmland used to be located very adjacent to each other in the east part.
As for the present time, the fishing port is no longer present, and a number of apartments have been built instead of the fish market. While the shop has been replaced by a restaurant, the café hasn’t gone through any distortion. There is a new car park next to the hotel. Additionally, the number of housing has increased, making a new route of the road necessary to build. Lastly, both the farmland and the forest park made way for a golf and a tennis court, each in its turn.
