The maps illustrate the changes taking place in the village of Ryemouth from 1995 to the present.
Overall, the village has experienced a number of noticeable changes, the most important of which are the disappearance of the public park and a fish market.
In the West of the village, the field houses have been transformed into a restaurant chain, and in the southeast of the village, the farmland has been converted into a golf course and a tennis course. In the middle of the village, there used to be a public park, but it has been redeveloped into holiday homes and a car park. In addition, there have been generally no changes made to the housing system and hotel.
In the South West of the village, the fish market has been turned into an apartment, while the coffee remained untouched. Finally, the morning fishboat has been removed to make way for the yacht.
