The map shows the information about the working mine which was converted into the new Visitor’s attraction.
Overall, the mine has undergone significant changes. Although some places remained unchanged, there were noticeable redevelopments. Notably, some constructions were introduced, which resulted in the disappearance of some buildings.
Before the redevelopment, there was the working mine. On the right side of it was a car park, in front of which were two buildings: an office and a staff changing room. There was an entrance for underground mine workers on the top of the map, below which was a medical room. On the bottom of the mine, opposite to the car park was a Lorry Park. Apart from that, there were two waste tips on the right side of the mine.
After the redevelopment, the mine was converted into the Visitor’s attraction. While the car park and the entrance remained unchanged, the office and the staff room turned into a big museum. Now, there is a café, which was firstly occupied by the medical room. Where the Lorry Park stood, there is now a souvenir shop. A picnic area was constructed, which resulted in the disappearance of tips. Other alterations included the introduction of a footpath, a digging driving track area and a children’s play area.
