The map depicts the alteration that take place in Wellington Town from 1780 to 2000.
Overall, it can be seen that the Woodlands were cut down. However, educational and commercial facilities were added in the town over the given period of time.
In the northwest direction, there was a river flowing from the North to the Eastern region in 1780, whilst, in 1860, a bridge was constructed on it and in year 2000, a number of shops were build on the sides of river including wetlands for birds. With regard to the Northern part of the town, in 1780, four farms were there whereas, in 1860, farms were reduced to half and a road was made from the river side towards the East.
Moreover, in the Northeast area of Wellington, a hundred houses were constructed while, after 80 years, the number of houses were doubled and in the beginning of 20th century, 500 houses were there. Also, the southeast region was occupied by woods on the contrary, in 2000, sports field and schools took place with a road adjoining it and residential area.
