The diagram illustrates the process of paper production and recycling. Overall, there are ten steps in paper production, beginning with felling trees and ending with the pulping of ink-removed material.
Firstly, trees are felled and delivered to a drum machine, where the bark is removed. Following this, the wood is chipped. The wood chippings are pulped in a refiner, after which the pulp is pressed.
During pressing, the pulp is rolled and transformed into paper. From rolled paper, newspapers are printed, and used newspapers are collected. The collected newspapers go to the ink-removing stage, and the ink-removed material is pulped. The pulp is delivered to the press again and produces more paper.
