The map illustrate the transformation of a coastal land into a coastal park after development.
Overall, the coastal land underwent a number of changes, the most significant of which are the removal of all farm-related structures in favor of the recreational area and the addition of new facilities to enhance functionality, signifying a transition from an agricultural towards a vibrant recreational area.
The western part of the coastal land has seen considerable changes, with unused land and animal area being removed to make way for a lake, and this was flanked by trees. Furthermore, there used to be agricultural land to the right of the farm buildings, which was then demolished to make room for the woods. Moreover, a car park was constructed, replacing farm buildings in the middle of the site, and the substantial addition is a coffee shop next to the car park to cater more extensively for recreational purposes.
The southern part of the coastal land also saw a number of transitions, primarily aimed at enhancing passengers’ access to the beach. The cliffs, once serving as a natural barrier, now had steps built into them, making it easier for visitors to access the sea. The beach, which had once been a blank space, was developed with the addition of a number of new amenities to cater to travellers, and to enhance visitors’ experience. On the northern part of the site, the road retained its original position.
