The two maps represent the main changes which have taken place in the city of Banville between the year 1995 and now.
In general, it appears that Banville has become much more urbanized, with with the addition of several new buildings and the replacement of others.
At the beginning of the period, wooded areas were occupied in the south-east and north-west of the town. A factory was located in the in the west of the map. Moving to the southern part, there was only one station. A road passed through the centre of the area and it was only for cars. Furthermore, the north-east corners contained a church. In terms of the south-east corner, several facilities were situated above the trees.
After the redevelopment, in the north-east corner of the map, the forest have been cut down and replaced with new apartment blocks. With regard to the layout factory has been knocked down to make way for a shopping mall. A football stadium has been built next to the station in the southern part of the map. At the same time, another change has been the construction of a new station opposite the existing station. The road has been converted into a pedestrian-only street, while the church has been demolished and replaced by a pub. In the east of the map, the houses and woodland have been removed to make way for skyscrapers and a new airport.
