The maps compare the changes that took place in a bookshop between 2000 and the present day.
Overall, the area underwent considerable redevelopment, with several new facilities being added, such as a cafe and seating areas, while a number of existing features were replaced. In addition, the south-western part of the bookshop remained unchanged throughout the period.
The most notable change was the introduction of the cafe, which was constructed in the area previously occupied by the non-fiction section. Meanwhile, the non-fiction section was relocated to the eastern side of the bookshop, replacing the fiction section. In addition, this area was expanded towards the south.
As for other other sections, namely Art, Hobbies, Cookery and Fiction, they were reorganised in the northern part of the bookshop, with each occupying an equal amount of space. Furthermore, several seating areas were added in the center of the shop, where the book sections had previously been located. Notably, a number of features remained unchanged, including the Travel section, the New books area, the Service desk and the Entrance in the south-western part of the shop.
