The maps illustrate how the arrangement of facilities in a library has changed since 2000.
In general, the layout of the library has experienced radical changes, especially on the left-hand side. Many areas of the library have been re-arranged with the appearance of some facilities as well as the contraction or disappearance of others.
To begin with, art and cookery books used to be in the middle of the room in 2000 now are moved to the left-hand side of the room to make way for the appearance of three sets of tables and chairs. In 2000, the library spared a large area on the left-hand side and the rear for fiction books, but it was narrowed down into a small shelf at the corner of the room. In addition, a large café was erected adjacent to the table while non-fiction books have now been relocated from the right corner to the end of the library.
It should be noted that hobbies books have vanished from the library. Nonetheless, the locations of new books, travel books (at the centre), the service desk (at the right corner, near the entrance) and the entrance remain unchanged over time.
