The maps illustrate the plan view of a bookshop in 2000 and now.

Overall, this shop added chance for their customers to sit and enjoy. And the general structure became more organized, making it easier to find different genres of books.

In 2000, there wasn’t any chance to sit and relax in this store. More than half of the shells were filled with fiction books, leading to other types of books too insufficient for people with different interests. Many rows of bookshelves made it feel too cramped.

New plan picture shows, they removed the 3 row of shelves in the middle and replaced them with what appears to be chairs and tables. On top of that, they added a cafe instead of the space where non-fiction previously was. One of the most recogniseable change was filling the longest shelf with 4 different type of books and fiction to have a little space in the corner.
