The given maps illustrate the city’s plan in 1950 with 20000 people living in and its current layout with 200000 residents.

In general, several large changes were made to the city throughout the years. The most noticeable changes were the expansion of the residential area and the emergence of the lakes.

In 1950, the city’s residential area was quite small and there was a long river passing by the business district with a bridge from the government building. The government building was located nearly in the middle of the city. The East of the city witnessed the construction of a small airport which was in the vicinity of the major road.

With regard to the city’s layout at present, there has been the appearance of the lakes across the business district and a new bridge has been built from 2 sides of the residential area. The residential area and the airport have been expanded to serve the higher demands of the inhabitants. There is also the construction of a dam that’s close to the airport.
