The two pictures compare the layout of Norbiton’s town as it is at present with a new proposed site design for future
Overall, it is clear that the main change in the future involves the transformation of the industrial area into residential areas with life amenities.
To begin with, there is a river located on the north that goes through the town, dividing Norbiton into two parts: farmland to the north and industrial areas to the south. On the south side of the map, the roundabout located in the center of the area is planned to have two new roads added, extending to the northwest and north sides of the map. Additionally, the factories surrounding the roundabout will be demolished and replaced by shops, medical centres and housing along the new northwest road.
Meanwhile, along the eastern road from the roundabout, numerous factories will be removed to make space for new housing, along with the addition of a playground and a school. Furthermore, the road on the south side that connects to the roundabout will be converted into a new roundabout, where a medical centre is planned to be built. On the north side of the map, a bridge is expected to be constructed to connect the farmland with the residential area.
