The two maps illustrates the current industrial area in the town of Norbiton and it’s proposed future changes.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that the Norbiton which is presently an manufacturing zone will be converted more into a residential area with various new facilities and infrastructures.
At present, Norbiton’s Central part predominantly consist of factories. To the west there is a small town, the northern part is occupied by farmlands and a flowing river. A straight road passes through the southern region. Additionally a round about is positioned in the centre of the town.
According to the planned future development, the town will be transformed more into a housing area. Many of the factories will be replaced by houses. New amenities like shops, medical centre, playground and schools will be incorporated. The town area to the west will remain the same, whereas a new round about will be added to the center of the southern road. Moreover, a new bridge will connect the southern and northern parts of the city, thereby decreasing the size of farmlands.
