The two maps depict the present layout and the future plans made in the design of the industrial area in Norbiton. Overall, the area is to be transformed significantly, however, the river and the main road is the only feature that has remained unchanged.
The area consists of a river on the North of the map which flows just down the farmland. There is a big roundabout at the centre of the map surrounded by several factories. The roundabout connects the freeway on the South of the map and the road to the factories.
The planned future developments mainly focus on the transformation of the industrial zone into a residential area. A bridge is to be constructed right above the river on the North of the map which connects housing estates to the main road. Thus shrinking the farmland in size. A smaller roundabout is planned to be made on the South of the middle roundabout. Shops and a medical centre are to be added between the two roundabouts. The factories are changed into housing estates and an addition of a playground has been made in on the North side of the main road in between two houses. The main road will reach a school for the children’s education amongst the cizitens.
