The maps illustrate how an island changed in 1980 and how it looks today.
Overall, the area has changed significantly, particularly with the development of residential areas with various facilities. While the beach and palm trees have remained unchanged, most features have been added or modernised.
In 1980, the area mainly consisted of a deserted beach surrounded by palm trees, with no buildings and infrastructure, and lacked any facilities for visitors.
However, today it has been transformed into a residential area. In the western and eastern parts, new accommodation has been built. Moreover, footpaths have been constructed around the houses on both sides of the island. In the centre, the reception building has been constructed, near with the restaurant in the northern part. Furthermore, along with these two building, the vehicle track has been added, improving transportation, beginning with the restaurant and ending with pier. The pier has been built on the southern coast, allowing boats to access the island. Despite these changes, the beach on the western side of the island has remained largely unchanged.
