The maps illustrate how the ground floor of an art gallery changed from 2005 to the present day.
Overall, the left-hand side has been completely reconstructed, while the opposite side remained the same. Additionally, several facilities and rooms have been added to this location.
In 2005, visitors could enter the hall through the entrance to the south. There was a reception desk at the far end of the hall, and in front of the stairs at the back of the gallery. On the east side, there were three adjacent rooms: exhibition room 1, exhibition room 2, and exhibition room 3. On the opposite side, there was a café located in the upper west corner, right next to the gallery office. Moreover, exhibition room 4 was the biggest room on the west wing, taking up the entire southwest corner.
In the present, a wheelchair ramp has been added outside, leading to the entrance. Furthermore, the reception desk has been moved to the middle of the Grand hall, which was convenient for visitors. There is a lift has been constructed, standing between the stairs and the exhibition room 3. On the right-hand side, the facilities have stayed the same; however, the most significant changes have happened on the opposite side, the café has been made smaller and converted into the Gallery shop. The gallery office has been demolished, and a vending machine has been added instead. Finally, exhibition room 4 has been divided into two rooms: the children’s area in the bottom left-hand side, and next to the temporary exhibition.
