The comparison of two layouts elucidate, the development in the Nelson’s urban areas that took place in present time as compared to the 2000.
Considering from an overall perspective, the major observation can be noticed at forest area which as completely removed where minor changes can be noticed at city centre, train station, old market and road. Notably, university and port area both are unchanged as compared to the past.
First and foremost, in the year 2000, in west corner side the train station can be observed which is relocated and developed in the centre at present time. The hall of residence is new constructed in today’s time which area was unused in past time. Additionally, the tramline added in current time which is connect between the north side and city centre. Northeast corner trees have been cut in present time instead to developed new shopping centre nearby university.
Furthermore, in the city centre area now added new bike rental scheme as compared the previous time where old market observed at westside which is relocated at east side and this area is allocated for a new shop. The port area can be noticed at the middle part of the south side either west side restaurant has been developed and west side bars and clubs are constructed. Finally, the road has been changed, it now used for pedestrians only.
