The maps illustrate the differences between past (2000) and present condition in the city Nelson.

Overall, there is increase in the facilities like hall of residence, bike rental scheme and accommodation shops.

In the past, we can see a old market in the west south with three buildings which was developed into a new shop in the present. The road which was used to drive vehicles are now area for walking peoples. The empty city centre are full filled with the rental bike station for individuals of the society. The newly added facilities for the people in the present day are restaurant,bars and clubs located between the pedestrians area and port.The train station has been upgraded to new building suitated just below university, (along with trainline connecting university and city centre), which was used to be western past of the map. Athought their is huge development in the present city of Nelson defforestation has been occur compared to 2000.
