The presented map illustrates the differences in construction of the Wetherby town in 2000 and 2016.
Overall, this town experienced significant changes throughout this period. It was transformed with construction of new buildings and replacement of old ones.
Starting from the North of the town, on the right of the woodland housing complex was built in place of farmland. Moving further to the East an area with houses was reconstructed to become a block of flats. The derelict car factory on the north-east was turned into techno park. Crossing the main street to the South, in the middle of town the open-air food market was replaced by supermarket. Just south of it the square was planted with trees.
On the right side of the new supermarket the multi-storey car park was built on the site of the block of shops. Meanwhile, on the left side of it houses with gardens became the hotel with spa. In the southernmost part the map cottages with gardens were demolished to give way to the expanded office block.
