The given map demonstrates the transformations of a town between 1990 and 2000 after the erection of a hydroelectric power dam.
Overall, the town has turned from a small village to a commercial-sized town within a decade.
In 1990, the river which flowed from north to south also ran through the middle of the town. To the east of the river, irrigated farmlands lay next to the river bank, where villages were situated further away. Mountains also surrounded the houses and farmlands. On the southwest of the river bank, there were rare plants and animals surrounded by ancient structures in the northwest and a range of mountains in the south. The north of the town also contained a forest.
By 2000, in the central part of the town from the north to the middle section, a habitat for wildlife, ancient construction, forests, and cultivated agricultural lands were all eliminated to make way for a hotel, a new lake, and two mountains positioned in the front of the lake. In the central and southern regions, half of the river remained unaltered while a hydroelectric power facility was constructed to supply electricity to residential. The dam was also contained by two mountains on both sides. Villages that were initially situated far from the river were relocated to lay next to the river bank in the southern part of the town.
