The given diagram illustrates the changes that occurred in a town after a hydroelectric power dam was built from 1990 to 2010.
It is clear that this town experienced industrialization, as the natural landscape disappeared and was replaced by the construction of infrastructure for the dam.
Regarding the changes to the West of the town in greater detail, in 1990, there was a forest, an ancient structure, and a habitat for rare plants and animals. After 30 years, these areas were removed to make way for transmission towers; however, the mountain ranges remained unchanged.
Looking at the East of the town, in the first year, there were mountains, irrigated farmlands, and villages. In the final year, workers built a new hydroelectric dam and transmission towers, along with the appearance of a lake. Additionally, irrigated farmlands were destroyed, making space for a hotel. Similar to the mountain ranges, villages remained unchanged.
