The two pictures compare an area in 1980 and 2000, the year after the area underwent the contruction of a hydroelectric power dam.
Overall, the area was repurposed for generating hydroelectric power. Most of original landscapes and buildings were replaced by a lake with infrastructure for supplying power, while the mountains remained unchanged. Changes were also observed for accommodations.
In 1980, a river flowed from the north to the south of the area, with a forest right at its west, in the north side. To the south of the forest lay ancient structures and a habitat for rare plants and animals, respectively. On the opposite river bank, a spacious irrigated farmland located in the middle, spanning nearly half the length of the river shown. By 2000, all the areas mentioned above were demolished to make way for a huge lake connected to the river. The lake was for fishing and generating hydroelectric power through a dam.
In 2000, near the lake were six mountaineous areas that remained relatively unchanged from 1980, with two occupying the space directly adjacent to the hydroelectric dam. To the south of the lake lay a hotel where there used to be a village. The village was moved to the far south of the area, on the east side of the river, with electrical cables and poles supplying electricity right from the dam.
