Both maps illustrate the changes that occurred in the seaside resort of templeton from 2000 to 2013
Overall, Templeton underwent a number of dramatic changes over the period, primarily concerned with the reallocation of green spaces for the establishment of new facilities and developments.
In 2000, the western part of Templeton was largely residential, with detached houses around a lake and blocks of flats near the coast. By 2013, this area had become more developed, as additional blocks of flats were built close to the lake. Moreover, a supermarket was introduced, indicating a shift towards mixed residential and commercial use. Despite these developments, the lake itself remained unchanged.
By contrast, the eastern part experienced more extensive transformation. Although a school, hospital and railway station already existed in 2000, a factory and a ferry service were added by 2013. In addition, the river area was upgraded with improved bridges, enhancing connectivity across the town.
