The maps illustrate the developments that took place in the coastal resort of Templeton over a 15-year period ,from 1990 in 2005.
Overall, it is clear that a comparison of the two maps reveals a change from a largerly rural to a mainly industial area.
In the year 1990, the northern part of the town was full of individual houses and a much greener residential area with a myriad of trees, but during the next 15 years, the area underwent a number of witnes changes. It is worth to note that nearly all of the trees to be cut down, with dwelling houses in the shores of a lake knocked down and converted into a huge supermarket and numerous flats. However, over this supermarket, the new individual houses constructed between the lake and supermarket.
By 2005, on the north-east side of the urban area, the new factory had been put up by chopping all the trees and some houses. A ferry board was also built in order to connect both sides of the river.
