The two maps show how the seaside town of Templeton changed between the years 1990 and 2005. In general, the place became much more modern, with new buildings, transport systems and shops.
In 1990, there were many houses, especially in the south-west part of the map near the coast. On the left side, in the north-west, some small homes were built around a lake. In the east part of the map, the school was in the north-east corner and the hospital was located right beside it. Below the hospital, there was a car park, and near it on the right side stood the railway station. A river crossed the town from north to south, dividing the resort into two main areas.
By 2005, a lot of changes happened. A big supermarket replaced the old houses in the south-west, and new apartment blocks appeared above the lake in the north-west. In the south, near the railway, a factory was built, and on the coast a ferry port was added. Also, in the centre, north of the river, an airport was constructed opposite the school.
To sum up, Templeton changed from a small town with mostly houses and trees into a bigger and busier place with supermarkets, factories and transport facilities.
