Two given maps illustrate the transformation of the oceanfront in Darwin town during over 5 years starting from 2009.
Overall, there are a number of changes that have taken place in Darwin, including replacing the industrial area with fresh areas. These transformations made the place become more urbanized.
In the north part of the footpath, it seemed not to have dramatically changed. Inside the wrapped round footpath, the industrial area was flattened to a swimming pool. Despite the change, school is still near the convention center. There still remains the road to the fishing area and a footpath leading to the sea which was east of the town.
In the south side, after 3 years, the town demolished all the area of industry. This space was separated by a new footpath. On one side, three new residential buildings were built in front of the old one and a new university was located to the east of the homes. While, another was planted with all trees. In the sea, a harbour is constructed, making this town become more commercial.
